Leanne's Big (and Free) Ideas!
I'm always on the lookout for free opportunities for our kids. Sometimes, things aren't free, but they are still a pretty good deal. Here are a few:

Did you know that President Obama just made it easier for every 4th grader and his/her family to visit a national park? A new initiative to get all 4th graders and their families to experience the places that are home to our country’s natural treasures, rich history, and vibrant culture FREE OF CHARGE!   Check this out!

Does your 4th or 5th grader want to ski for free? Click on Ski PA to read about their great program to get kids out on the slopes.

Catch a free movie at Clark Park - usually August and September.

The Harry Potter Festival comes to Chestnut Hill again -- October 16 and 17!

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is one of the premier performing arts venues in the United States. Did you know they have a free series for kids!

The Philadelphia Museum of Art and The Barnes Foundation have the finest art collections in the world. They both offer free admission on the first Sunday of every month.

High school students can visit 15 different cultural institutions and museums for free when they use their STAMP (Students at Museums in Philly) Pass.

Here's a great link to a few other free things around the city.
