Lower School Visual Arts

Greene Street students learn about artwork from counties around the world and across time. Each art class begins with looking time and guided discussions in which students hone their observation skills and discover themes among the art works. Students explore a living art history in which a variety of resources including books, posters, and maps enrich their understanding as they learn hands-on skills. Experiences in sculpture, painting, printmaking, weaving, and photography help all students find their own artistic vision.
