Join the Fun on October 22 at the Greene Street Friends Fall FairGreene Street Friends School Fall Fair Saturday, October 22, 11am - 4pm Come to the Greene Street Friends School Fall Fair, a fun family event that includes great food, an array of vendors, face painting, and games for all ages. This year’s special attractions include a Harry Potter themed haunted house and live music performed by the student group the Quaker Notes and the band Expressions of Soul led by our security person Ta’ron Bumpus. Join the fun from 11am until 4pm on Greene Street Friends School’s grounds. Enter from Armat Street or School House Lane. Rain Date, Sunday, October 23, 12:30-4:30. Proceeds benefit the Costa Rica Exchange Program, now in its ninth year. Each March, the Seventh Grade class travels from Philadelphia to Costa Rica for ten days of cultural immersion and exploration. The following November, some of the Costa Rican students whom they have visited and corresponded with come to stay with students from GSFS. Each year, the Seventh Grade runs a series of fundraisers to ensure that the whole class can participate regardless of their financial circumstances. The Fall Fair is organized by the Seventh Grade families with lots of help from the Parents Association and staff. So, come support a great program and have a great time, too! |
