Seventh and Eighth Grades Learn of Quaker Pioneer's LifeKay Chornook, author Walking with Wolf: Reflections on a life spent protecting the Costa Rican wilderness, came to speak to Greene Street's seventh and eighth grade classes. As participants of the School's Costa Rica Exchange Program, these students have visited the Quaker community and wildlife preserve in Monteverde that Wolf Guindon helped found. They saw the cheese factory and the Quaker school, and learned about the area's unique flora and fauna. Students asked Chornook about the process of self-publishing the book and about her experiences with Guindon.
