Roe's Pre-Kindergarten Celebrates the Season of Light

The word of the month at Greene Street Friends School is light - and there's no better time of year to celebrate it! Roe's Pre-Kindergarten learned about and shared the many holidays that focus on light this time of year. In front of a group of parents and family members, the class lit advent candles, a menorah, and a kinara, then sang songs for each holiday.

The song list included Up on the House Top, Jingle Bells (with real bells!), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (with props and costumes!), In My Window, Dreidel (with dreidels, of course!), and Red, Black, and Green. The Light Ceremony ended with the class singing This Little Light of Mine.

Thanks to everyone who joined Roe's Pre-Kindergarten on Thursday morning and for everyone in the community that shares their light with us!
