Cherine is a graduate from Abington Friends School and a life long educator in Independent schools, specifically Quaker schools. Cherine got her Bachelors degree from Temple University in Elementary Education (K-6) while minoring in Sociology and Psychology. She earned her Masters in Education from Chestnut Hill College. After teaching Lower School for many years, Cherine realized her passion was in middle school. She is so excited to teach 7th and 8th grade Language Arts at Greene Street Friends School.

When Cherine is not teaching she loves spending her time reading, especially book suggestions from her students. Cherine is also hugely involved in Diversity, Equity and Justice work as it is her life passion. She believes in creating safe spaces to have tough conversations with her students. Cherine also loves sports and attending games. She can be found during the winter and spring sitting court side at volleyball games her husband is coaching.

Cherine lives in the Northeast with her husband, Chuck who is a upper school math teacher at Girard College. She also lives with her two cats and her Stepson, Charles, when he is home from college at the University of Iowa.
