forget to sign up for your Get Acquainted Parent and Teacher Conference.  Instructions are on your teacher’s class
page.



 



Get
Acquainted Conferences are designed to give parents opportunities to tell us
about your child\; his or her affinities, passions, strengths, challenges,
activities over the summer, areas for growth, and more.  You will meet with your child’s lead
classroom or homeroom teacher in grades PK-6, and with your child’s advisor in
grades 7-8.  Childcare will be available
for the 25 minute conference.



 



Our
teachers will lead the conference, but will be mostly listening.  Our hopes are that through this conference we
will…



 



 
Gain valuable information about
     our students from the parent perspective that will enable us to start the
     year effectively.
 
Establish a relationship with
     parents early in the school year that will facilitate good communication,
     build teamwork and engender trust.
 
Learn about each child’s
     affinities, passions, strengths, challenges, and areas for growth so that
     we might better reach and teach each child under our care.
 
Learn from parents how they
     might want to get involved in volunteering at the school.
