Student Leadership
We believe in empowering students by giving them voice, responsibility, and leadership. In addition to the many ways students lead every day in classrooms through jobs, community service, partners, and more, we have built some very structured and intentional ways for students of all ages to act and grow as leaders in the community.

Starting in Pre-K, students can voice their ideas and opinions in Town Meetings. By fourth grade, they are "clerking," or leading these gatherings, In middle school, all students participate in TORCH, using Quaker-based decision making led by their peers. In WINGS, students exercise their ability to be agents of change through service. Yearbook offers opportunities for creative, collaborative leadership.

Having such a strong field of opportunities for student leadership is absolutely a win-win situation - students deepen their knowledge of themselves and others, and the school becomes an even more positive and unified learning community.
