Public monuments in America overwhelmingly honor the achievements of white men of European descent over all others. One way to remediate this disparity is to honor more women and people from African, Asian, and Native American backgrounds.

The History Action Committee Choice is committed to just this mission. We will be researching people worthy of honor and petitioning local, state, and national officials to help facilitate the public opening of a new generation of memorials. Check back for our progress!
