Nick Roberts (3rd Grade Lead Teacher)

lower school

Nick (he/they) is very excited for his second year as a third grade teacher here at Greene Street Friends School! Nick grew up in a small town called Arundel in Southern Maine before moving to Philadelphia in 2021. After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education at the University of Maine, he taught elementary and middle school music in a small district in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. During his time teaching music and band, Nick also sponsored a student-run Civil Rights Team and was an active member of his school’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, working closely with his colleagues to create a welcoming and equitable school environment. After moving to Philadelphia and continuing to work more with younger students, Nick decided to pursue a career in elementary classroom education.

Nick enjoys working with third graders and loves the excited and curious energy they bring to school. He is looking forward to seeing how the students grow throughout the year, both as students and as members of our community! Outside of school, Nick loves to bake, spend time with his family and new puppy, and travel whenever and wherever he can.
