At GSFS, we believe that a rich and varied specials program supports whole-child development and success in and out of the classroom. In addition to integration of the arts across our hands-on academic curriculum, students in PreSchool through 8th Grade are guided by specialists in the arts to explore, create, and express themselves.

Our Early Childhood Program includes designated time for our youngest learners to participate in Art and Music instruction, as well as Movement & Dance classes. As students move through the Lower School and 5th and 6th Grades, they continue studies in Art and Music once or twice a week, and have opportunities to participate in Chorus and theatre productions. In 7th and 8th Grades, students choose Arts Electives each trimester, selecting from Dance, Music, Visual Arts, and Theater. Students of all ages present their learning in the arts to authentic audiences through concerts and performances, classroom showcases, theatrical productions, and art exhibitions.
