financial aidGSFS appreciates the significant investment that families make in choosing an independent school education, and is committed to making the Greene Street experience accessible to as many students as possible. To that end, the school offers scholarships to any eligible student in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 8. Financial aid awards are made on the basis of financial need. Approximately 45% of our students receive awards each year, totaling over $1 million.HOW DO I APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID?
Families seeking financial aid should complete the Clarity application along with the online GSFS application. In the case of two households, GSFS expects that both parents/guardians will submit Clarity applications in order for a financial aid decision to be reached. After you create an account with Clarity, the application typically takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. The Clarity application is mobile-friendly, and you can save your progress and return to it at any time. The fee to submit the application is $60, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity application for no additional charge.
When is the application due?
To receive full consideration for financial aid, the completed application is due by December 15 for both priority and standard admission processes. GSFS will continue to provide financial aid past the December 15 deadline as funds are available. How are financial aid award decisions made?
GSFS awards financial aid based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. The Clarity application allows the school to determine your family’s level of need, taking into account your income and assets, as well as expenses and debts, that you share in the application.
