Emma Jerrehian - 1st Grade Lead Teacher

Emma (she/her) is thrilled to be a 1st grade teacher at Greene Street Friends School, beginning in 2026! A graduate of a K-12 Quaker education, Emma holds a deep appreciation for progressive, responsive education and Quaker values. She is passionate about whole child development and building a joyful learning community. Emma grew up in Philadelphia and moved to Colorado for college, where she stayed for graduate school and began her career in education. She has taught 1st grade, kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 5th grade.
Outside the classroom, Emma enjoys camping, hiking, canoeing, reading, and ceramics.
