Annie (she/her) is delighted to serve as the Admissions Associate at Greene Street Friends School. Since 2012, she has worked as an educator, administrator, and community builder in Quaker schools and nonprofits. A life-long Quaker and a graduate of State College Friends School and Haverford College, Annie believes that Friends education is transformative, empowering students and adults to become empathetic and effective change-makers in their communities and the world.

Annie began her career organizing Friends to lobby for peace and justice with the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL), and carried this thread of Quaker social witness into her work as a middle school social studies teacher at Friends Community School. During her time in the classroom, Annie designed and delivered a multicultural United States history curriculum that integrated social movement theory and centered student advocacy. She then lived and worked in Mexico City, collaborating with local community leaders to train activists and university students in peacebuilding strategies. Before relocating to Philadelphia in 2025, Annie served as an administrator and school leader at State College Friends School. Annie is also a dedicated steward of Quaker decision-making process, having served on the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Council, the Board of The Friends Collaborative, the Corporation of Haverford College, and the General Committee of FCNL.

Outside of school, you can find Annie walking through the woods, sipping coffee on her back porch, or lifting heavy things at the gym. Annie and her husband, Eduardo Ordaz, also love to dance salsa, host community gatherings, and go adventuring locally and abroad. They share a Spanish-speaking household and cherish the traditions, art, and family ties that keep them connected to Eduardo’s hometown of Mexico City.
