Esther Sitrin - 1st Grade Lead Teacher

lower school

Esther (she/her) is a dedicated Quaker school educator who loves teaching 1st graders at Greene Street. She gets excited to see how her students progress into readers and writers as the year unfolds. Esther holds a B.A. in Sociology from UMass Amherst and a Master’s degree from Lesley University in Early Childhood Education. Before joining the GSFS faculty, Esther taught for 17 years at Newtown Friends School.

Esther has a side hustle teaching yoga, and she also likes to bring yoga poses into the classroom. In her free time, Esther might be reading, playing board games with her daughter (a happy GSFS student) or hitting the trails at the Wissahickon!
