Isaiah "Zaya" Monroe - 3rd Grade Lead Teacher

Isaiah “Zaya” Monroe (she/her) is a 3rd Grade Lead Teacher. A proud graduate of Rutgers University - Camden, Zaya is currently working toward a Master’s in Elementary Education at Saint Joseph’s University. Previously, she served as a Teaching Associate for 3rd and 4th grades. Zaya values building strong relationships with her students and helping them grow as learners. She strives to create a supportive and inclusive classroom where every student can succeed.
Originally from New Jersey, Zaya moved to Philadelphia in 2023. She loves the vibrant, historic city and is excited to educate the future changemakers of Philadelphia. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting and watching Marvel movies with her cat, Butters. She also loves finding new snacks to try out! Isaiah is happy to be a member of the GSFS community and looks forward to a fantastic year ahead.
