Rocío Cabello - Master Gardener

Rocío (she/her) has been gardening at GSF since 2013, she calls this her dream job. She’s an incurable fanatic of nature and our relationship with it and works tirelessly to share her love with others. This love was planted and nurtured in her childhood in Peru, she works to recreate those moments of fascination, beauty and wonder she experienced herself with the children at GSF, with she hopes they carry into the future.

Rocio is also a visual artist and Executive Director of iMPeRFeCT Gallery, a not-for-profit alternative art space she co-founded in Germantown, in 2012. In this more public facet of her, she’s more of a cultural producer, as the gallery presents a wide variety of artistic expressions while giving their exhibiting artists as much freedom as possible. This project has broadened the impact she has in her community; in a place hungry for culture, the gallery is now a hub for creatives and art lovers to talk, share and inspire each other.
