Steve's classes

Steve DuTot (Kindergarten Lead Teacher)

lower school

Steve (he/him) grew up in Germantown and went to a Friends school as a child. After studying Environmental Education at University of Colorado he returned to Philadelphia and completed a  degree in Early Childhood and Elementary School Education at Temple University. One evening at a bookstore, he ran in to his former science teacher Ed Marshall, who happened to be Head of School at GSFS. The rest is history! Twenty years later, he loves that Germantown and a Quaker community are still an important part of his life. Better yet, his four children are now all part of this community, as both alumni and current students.

Kindergarten is a magical year and Steve loves the energy and excitement for play and learning that children bring with them to school everyday. He is always amazed by how much his students change and grow in just on year.

Outside of school, Steve loves time spent with his family, exploring nature, and playing soccer.
