Volunteer Opportunities

One of the many things that make GSFS so special is our incredible community of families, who not only attend and support the things happening at school, but who also volunteer their time and energy to those events. Volunteers make everything possible!

Here are some upcoming ways to volunteer and/or get involved here at Greene Street. If you have questions about any of these things, please email us: pca@greenestreetfriends.org

PCA INTEREST FORM: There are so many ways to get involved here at GSFS! CLICK HERE to be taken to the PCA Interest Form, where you can sign-up, and let us know how you'd like to get involved.

CARPOOOLING: It takes a village to get to school! We know the commute to and from GSFS each day can be challenging, especially if your family has longer to drive. The PCA has created a shared carpool document to connect families in the same areas of the city. CLICK HERE to add your family to the list.

PIZZA WEDNESDAYS: Every year, our largest and most successful fundraiser for our 8th grader's Costa Rica trip is Pizza Wednesdays. It's not even close! The students love pizza, and we love being able to raise funds that help make the Costa Rica trip possible for every member of the class, regardless of their family's financial situation. Pizza Wednesday needs volunteers! If your schedule on Wednesdays has flexibility, we need volunteers between 11am-1pm each week. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER

CONCESSION STAND & SCHOOL STORE: Our School Store/Concession Stand will be open before both Spring Concerts, and we need volunteers to help work them in the hour before the shows. concerts will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 @7pm for 3rd-6th grade, and Tuesday, May 19, 2026 @9am for Preschool-2nd gradeCLICK HERE to volunteer.

COLOR DAY: Color Day is the GSFS version of a field day, with the entire student body divided into team red and team white. It's an annual favorite, and this year it's being held on Friday, May 22, 2026. Students of all ages will run, hop, balance, dunk, and relay their way to victory! Our oldest students help run the activities for the lower school, but Rob needs volunteers for the middle school activities. CLICK HERE to volunteer.

STAN KENYON END-OF-YEAR BBQ: Each year, we gather on the second to last Friday of the school year for the Stan Kenyon End-of-Year BBQ. This year's event will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 @5:30-7:30pm. The PCA puts the event together, and they need volunteers to set-up, work the registration table, help grill, serve food, and clean-up. CLICK HERE to volunteer.
