middle school,lower school

Danica (she/her) is beginning her second year as a 5th grade lead teacher here at GSFS this fall. Prior to Greene Street, she taught at a school district in Bucks County, PA for four years after graduating from Gwynedd Mercy University with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Special Education.

Her first passion is teaching but spending time outdoors is a close runner up! She loves taking bike rides or just simple walks along the Schuylkill River Trail. She has three cats named Vela, Stassi, and Sebastian that keep her and her partner busy at home!

Danica is also a graduate student in the Transformative Education and Social Change program at West Chester University. Her research focuses on fostering student agency in elementary and intermediate classrooms as a tool to promote socio cultural equity. She is committed to cultivating a holistic classroom environment that nurtures each student's individual identity through self-exploration, critical thinking, and risk-taking.
