A Texas native, Heather considers Philadelphia her adopted home. She and her husband live in Old City with their fur family. They are actively involved in their community, dog rescue, and exploring our great city. Heather has an undergraduate degree in health sciences, a graduate degree in interdisciplinary studies, and a graduate certificate in dispute resolution. Her prior school roles have provided her with in-depth experiences in social-emotional learning, child brain development, and restorative practices. She is an ongoing learner of anti-bias and anti-racism within and out of the classroom.
