Michelle Holland (Head of School)

Michelle Holland (she/her) is the new Head of Greene Street Friends School.  She started her headship in July 2023 and is a seasoned leader who is committed to the values of a Quaker education. Michelle began her tenure in Quaker schools almost three decades ago and has served as a teacher, Assistant Principal,  and the Lower School Principal at Friends School of Baltimore. In addition to her school leadership, Michelle served on the board of the Friends Council on Education, including a term as board clerk. Michelle will be rejoining the Friends Council board this Fall. 

Michelle and her husband, Mark, are also parents of two former Friends School students, who are young adults, Amanda and Kimberly. Michelle is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and she is passionate about matters of faith, governance, growth, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
