Michelle Holland - Head of School

Michelle Holland is the Head of Greene Street Friends School.  She began her journey at GSFS in July 2023.  She is a seasoned leader who is committed to the values of a Quaker education. Michelle began her tenure in Quaker schools almost three decades ago and has served as a teacher, Assistant Principal,  and the Lower School Principal. In addition to her school leadership, Michelle serves on the board of the Friends Council on Education (FCE), including a term as FCE board clerk. Michelle has a bachelor’s, master’s, and a doctorate degree.  Michelle and her husband, Mark, are parents of two former Friends School students, who are young adults.  Michelle is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and she is passionate about matters of leadership, faith, governance, growth, diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging.
