Math Unit 3 is a geometry unit. Students will practice using protractors and compasses. They will learn about tessellating shapes (ask them to tell the definition of tessellations with our dance!). We will also spend several days exploring the properties of polygons (many-sided shapes). 

The concept of adjacent angles is introduced in this unit. It can help students understand this concept if they have an understanding of how the word adjacent is used in everyday life.
