2S Celebrates Student Writing
On Thursday morning, parents, guardians, siblings, and even a few grandparents joined Sandie and Rebecca's 2nd grade class for a celebration of writing. The students showcased a variety of writing assignments from the year, including opinion letters about books, lab reports, totem pole stories, and an original, digital book created about a nonfiction topic of their choice.
The writing celebration was held at the end of the school year to clearly showcase how much students' writing skills have grown throughout the year. Second graders shared their portfolios of published work, which is their best work, as well as the drafts and plans they made to get to those published pieces.
