Describing this as “the golden age of food trucks,” Philadelphia Magazine listed this week the 14 best gourmet bites on wheels in the city. Among those listed was Pitruco Pizza, founded by Germantown native and GSFS lifer Jonah Fliegelman ’96.

Jonah and his childhood neighbor and best friend, Nathan, have always been interested in culinary arts. “We love serving Philadelphia and being involved in the food scene here,” says Jonah.

Pitruco Pizza is known for their wood-fired brick  oven. All personal pizzas are made to order on-site. Jonah and his truck returns to his Northwest roots every Wednesday.

When not dishing up slices, Jonah enjoys spending time with his wife and 22 month-old.
