Alumni Association Honors Emily Harmar with Association Membership

At the Annual Meeting of the Alumni Association, GSFS Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations Emily F. Harmar was inducted into the Alumni Association. During her nearly 18 year tenure at Greene Street Friends, Emily has touched the lives of more than 1,000 students and families. The Annual Fund (the fund that supports financial aid and professional development) at GSFS tripled its impact under Emily’s leadership. And, Emily was a key leader and fundraiser for so many growth initiatives at Greene Street Friends: the renovations to the Lower School and to the Middle School, the addition of Hargroves House to Greene Street Friends’ campus, and so much more!

We would be incredibly remiss if we didn’t also mention Emily’s incredible role in the formation of the Alumni Association. She has encouraged the involvement of so many of us in the success of Greene Street Friends School. As alumni, we have participated in the Alumni Art Show, we have spoken at graduation, we have promoted Greene Street Friends, and we have reconnected with our friends and memories at Greene Street Friends.

Please join us in making a gift in honor of the newest member of the Alumni Association, Emily F. Harmar.

PS: Emily is not traveling far, she will be heading to the Commonwealth Youth Choir (headquarters are in Germantown on Chelten Avenue!) where she will be starting up their development office as the Director of Development. Maani Waldor at GSFS is happy to answer any of your questions about GSFS or to schedule tours. Maani can be reached at mwaldor@greenestreetfriends.org.
