Michaela Pliskin (5th Grade Lead Teacher)

Michaela (she/her) is looking forward to her first year at Greene Street as a fifth grade lead teacher. She is originally from the Philadelphia area and graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Boston University. Previously, Michaela held positions teaching 5th and 3rd grade in the cities of Boston and Philadelphia, and has even been a math specialist for grades K-6. 

Outside of school, Michaela loves to practice yoga, cook new recipes at home, and watch the Eagles! Michaela believes that building meaningful relationships with students and fostering within them a love of learning lays a foundation for success in school. A classroom community, built with respect and equity, provides an environment where students are able to learn and grow.
