Malik Mubashshir
middle school
Malik (he/him) is delighted and proud to be joining the Greene Street Friends School community. He has a special appreciation for Quaker education and has two decades of teaching experience in Quaker schools, having previously taught at Germantown Friends School and Friends Select School.
Malik holds a special passion for history and social justice. He enjoys designing unique teaching experiences and electives and has developed and taught a variety of courses, such as African American History, History of Muslim Civilization, Introduction to Western Philosophy, and Citizen Justice, in which students explored aspects of the criminal justice system and civil rights, and participated in simulated investigations.
Malik has also worked for several years as a private investigator, and has done extensive investigation in cases concerning civil rights and post-conviction relief appeals on behalf of people who have been wrongfully incarcerated. Malik is a voracious reader who enjoys fiction and non-fiction.
