Antonia Cruz Arias - Spanish Teacher, Pre-K to 6

Antonia (she/her) loves teaching PK-6th Spanish at Greene Street Friends. She is committed to fostering curiosity and play, dispelling cultural stereotypes and promoting social justice, and instilling a love of language learning. She had previous roles at Independence Charter School where she taught 3rd grade Spanish immersion, and The Miquon School.


Antonia is a heritage speaker of Spanish, attending Central High School in Philadelphia and was raised in a Flamenco family, performing and teaching as a lecturer/demonstrator throughout the East-Coast and Southwest of the country. Holding a B.A. in Spanish from Saint Joseph's University, Antonia is a life-long learner who strives to share her passion for Spanish with students and families.


In Antonia’s house lives her young children Amara and Aleister, and partner Adam. They spend summers together at her family’s home in Spain. Antonia is a supporter of Liverpool Football Club and a science fiction fan.
