Lizzie Phillips - 5/6 Teaching Associate

Lizzie (she/her) is thrilled to be a member of the Greene Street Friends School staff. Born in Honduras, Lizzie came to Germantown as an infant, and still happily lives here. She first entered the GSFS community as a Pre-K student -- Lois was her Kindergarten teacher! Lizzie transferred to a Philadelphia public school in third grade and then attended Center School and Wyncote Academy. She received her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from the Community College of Philadelphia.
Lizzie has worked in Early Childhood Education at KinderCare, and Merck’s childcare program. She graduated from Thompson Institute as a Medical Assistant, then took a detour into food service and worked at the Trolley Car Diner and Cafe for 12 years. These days, her passion is engaging young minds.
Lizzie has been a GSFS parent since her son Christopher, an alumni of GSFS, entered Pre-K. Her daughter Annabel continues the family tradition as a GSFS student. Lizzie enjoys traveling, movies, cooking/baking with her kids, and Pilates.
