Julia is thrilled to be entering her sixth year at Greene Street Friends School. She is excited to be returning as the School Librarian and Technology Coordinator. Her job combines her two favorite passions in teaching - connecting kids (and grown ups!) with books and engaging them in hands-on learning.

Julia holds a B.S. in Psychology and Biology from St. Lawrence University and an M.S. in Child Life and Family-Centered Care from Wheelock College. She has over 25 years of experience working with children and families, including 6 years as a Child Life Specialist in Minneapolis. She participated in the Race Institute for K-12 Educators in the Fall of 2015, sits on the Diversity School Renewal Committee, and is a member of the American Library Association, the American Association of School Librarians, and the International Society for Technology in Education.

Julia is the parent of one Greene Street middle schooler and one Alumni and loves having her whole family be part of the school community. When not at school, she enjoys exploring new places, traveling with her family, curling up with a good book, and connecting with innovative educators around the country on social media. You can follow her on Instagram and Twitter at @Quakerlibrarian.
