Kareem Rogers (Dean, Lower School)

Kareem (he/him) joined the Greene Street Friends School community as our Dean of Lower School in July of 2020. After graduating with a degree in Applied Mathematics from Philadelphia College of Textile and Science (Jefferson University), Kareem joined Teach For America and began his career as a Math Teacher and a basketball coach in Jersey City, NJ. Kareem has taught math in both New Jersey and Philadelphia and took in various administrative roles with organizations like: Blair Christian Academy, Scholar Academies, and Big Picture Philadelphia. When not working, Kareem enjoys grilling, cooking, writing plays, acting, directing, and raising two children.
Kareem shares, "I am happy to call Greene Street Friends, home! I am excited to join such a great community that is not only committed to educating our future leaders but also committed to building character, while championing diversity, equity, inclusion and peace."
