Naama Levy

Naama is new to Philadelphia and a first year Teaching Associate in Jane’s 4th grade classroom. She was born in Israel and moved to the U.S. at the age of 10. She has been an ESL tutor for several years and has worked with children in various settings. After completing a B.A. in fine art photography, she spent a year backpacking in Southeast Asia, teaching English, and volunteering in Oaxaca, Mexico. Upon returning, Naama served with AmeriCorps, teaching at a democratic alternative school in Portland, Oregon, which incited her passion for education as well as lots of questions to be explored in graduate school. She recently received her M.A in Elementary Education from Indiana University. Naama enjoys playing keyboard and guitar, reading at cafes, looking at art, playing soccer, and being outdoors with friends.
