Thanks to all who took part in the Greene Street Friends
School’s Day of Service!
We created 400 breakfast bags for Aid for Friends. Aid for
Friends provides meals for the elderly and other shut-ins. Recipients often make
the bags stretch to cover two meals.
Through our Red Cross blood drive, we collected 43 pints of
blood. These donations come at a time of year when area blood banks reach critically
low levels.
We gathered 480 children’s books to benefit Tree House Books
as well as a local shelter.
We decorated 117 gift bags for Cradles to Crayons and also
donated many boxes of children’s clothing items.
We cleaned the all of the faculty bathrooms and scrubbed
down walls at the Lingelbach school.
We made 150 hygiene kits that will be sent around the world
by the Mennonite Central Committee.
Using recycled T-shirts, we made dog toys for a local SPCA,
showing our love and concern for the furry friends in our community.
