6B Celebrates 100% Annual Giving Participation

To celebrate reaching 100% parent participation in Annual Giving, 6B had a special party on Friday!

The 6th grade has been learning about different cultures and regions of the world; they recently finished a unit on Africa and are next looking at Asia. To celebrate the culmination of this unit they had a mancala tournament and sampled a variety of Ethiopian dishes, including doro wat (chicken) and spicy lentils.

The students were very adventurous eaters! Using their hands, they wrapped the food up in injera bread and tasted everything. The most popular food items were the injero and the quanta fir fir (a beef dish).

Thanks to all of the 6B parents for their generosity in supporting the School, especially Room Captain Jen Zarro! Special shout out to the Rupertus family for their food recommendations.
