On Friday morning, Kindergarten students and their families celebrated at the annual Authors Breakfast. Students presented stories that they read and illustrated. Popular subjects included stories about students' families and pets. Most students wrote about things they know and love, but some created works of fiction and other did research on their favorite animals to write their books.

Students went through the writing workshop process from creative brainstorming to writing to creating illustrations that matched their stories.

"The most fun part of the process is for students to see that they can put a book together," said Kindergarten teacher Kia.
