Stan Kenyon Family Dinner
(Lower Playground)
The Stan Kenyon Family Picnic will take place at Greene Street Friends next Friday, May 30 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This is a really fun event, especially for new and current families, and a great time to introduce yourselves to other GSFS families. The rain date is Monday, June 2.
The Parents Association will supply hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers.
If your child is in Grades Pre-K to 5th, please bring a side, dish, vegetable or salad to share with 15-20 people. Suggested items include bean, rice, or other grain dishes; hearty green salads; potato salad; pasta salad; and mac and cheese).
If your child is in 6th to 8th grade, please bring a dessert or fruit to share with 15-20 people.
The cost to attend is $6 per person or $24 per family of four or more. Children under 4 years old are free!
Organizers Jill Gurvey (mom of Zack and Maxine Wray) and Gretchen Trefny (mom of Owen and Nate Sears) are looking for volunteers to assist in making this a great event! If you are interested in any of the following tasks, please contact Gretchen at gctrefny@gmail.com.

- Setting up (beginning at 4:00pm - students in Grades 4 and up can also help);
- Grilling (half hour shifts beginning at 5:30pm);
- Monitoring the food tables (half hour shifts beginning at 5:30pm);
- Cleaning up the food table and bringing dishes to the collection table for owner pick-up (from 7:00pm to 7:30pm);
- and cleaning up tables and chairs (7:30pm - students in Grades 4 and up can also help).
