Ways of Giving

Thank you for supporting Greene Street Friends School!  Your generosity helps GSFS provide an engaging program and meaningful education for all our students. Here are some special ways to maximize your impact.

Outright Gifts
A gift in support of the students at Greene Street Friends makes an immediate difference. Click here to make a gift by credit card. Or send a check, made payable to Greene Street Friends School, to:

Greene Street Friends School
Attn: Development Office
20 West Armat Street
Philadelphia, PA 19144-2894

The Friends Collaborative
Greene Street Friends School is a member of The Friends Collaborative, a unique program created to support scholarship at Quaker Schools in Pennsylvania. Individuals who participate in The Collaborative are able to receive a Pennsylvania Tax Credit of 90% of their contribution for supporting scholarships.  Please contact Maani Waldor (mwaldor@greenestreetfriends.org) for more information and to see if credits are currently available.

Sustaining Support

Supporters can make an automatic recurring gift each month to Greene Street Friends through greenestreetfriends.org/giving or via the Development Office. Sustainer support enables you to make a meaningful contribution that is convenient, easy on your wallet, and helps the school plan out its budget year.

Appreciated Securities

A gift of appreciated securities can often bring greater tax savings than a cash gift. Since you may be able to claim a tax deduction for the market value, you may avoid capital gains tax. Call us for details before contacting your broker. (215) 438-7002

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many donations qualify for corporate matches, including gifts from retirees and spouses of employees. Ask your company’s personnel office if you are eligible and double your impact.

Opportunity Scholarship or Educational Improvement Tax Credit (OSTC / EITC)

These Commonwealth programs let companies contribute to Greene Street Friends School’s need-based tuition assistance program and receive up to a 90% tax credit. (Not a deduction, but a straight credit.) Please call (215) 438-7003 for more information.

Planned Gifts

If you are interested in including Greene Street Friends School in your estate plans, or if you wish to participate in a life income arrangement, please call Maani Waldor, Director of Development at 215-438-7002.
